5:39 pm on 2 September 2008

The South African Rugby Union is offering a reward to help find three men responsible for attacking a black woman during the Wallabies -Springboks Tri-Nations Test in Johannesburg on Saturday.

SARU president Oregan Hoskins says R10,000 (almost $NZ2000) is on offer to anyone who can identify them.

The Springbok fan was racially abused and assaulted in the corridors at Ellis Park at halftime in the Tri-Nations match, which South Africa won 53-8.

Hoskins says the attack is an outrage and he is alarmed that others saw it happening and did not intervene.

The woman has been contacted and offered an apology.
