The head of the group's Pacific delegation, Aurélia Balpe, said the disasters had affected each country in different ways.

She said after their emergency response, Red Cross societies in each country were tailoring their work to each community's needs.

The International Red Cross is hoping to raise almost $8 million to reach 81,000 people in 13,500 households.

The aid would include relief items such as clothing, help with water supply and sanitation.
