More than 20,000 people had tickets to the concert. The promoters said band has had no option but to call it off and full ticket refunds are available.
It is the second time the Rolling Stones has been forced to cancel the show, the ABC reports.
In March, they called off their Australian tour following the death of Jagger's girlfriend and fashion designer L'Wren Scott.
The band is due to play Auckland in New Zealand on 22 November.
Rolling Stones fans will get a chance to see the band in Australia and New Zealand later this year. The tour was postponed after the death of Sir Mick Jagger's partner in March.
