About 6000 people have been told to flee their homes because of a wildfire near Palm Springs, California.
Almost 3000 firefighters are tackling the Mountain Fire, which is only 15% contained after four days.
The BBC reports it has already razed 22,800 acres of the San Bernardino National Forest.
A forest service spokesman said more than 4100 houses are at risk.
The towns of Idyllwild and Trails End, south-west of Palms Spring, are near the most active parts of the fire.
