Police on Saturday arrested a man who said he left a hand grenade on a train in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, west of Sydney.
Police said the man was making trouble at Mt Victoria station about 1.55pm (AEST) on Saturday.
He subsequently claimed to have left his backpack and a hand grenade on the train.
After being subdued with capsicum spray, he was arrested and taken to Katoomba police station.
AAP reports the train and the station were evacuated and searched by Blue Mountains Police Rescue and the Bomb Disposal Squad.
The man's backpack was found on the train, but there were no signs of a grenade. An all-clear was given around 4.10pm.
