Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev has been buried at an undisclosed location.
Tsarnaev, 26, was shot dead on 19 April during a manhunt after the bombing of the annual Boston marathon on 15 April, in which three people were killed and 264 others were wounded.
His brother Dzhokhar, 19, is in a prison hospital after being shot and injured during the police manhunt.
The two are also suspected of shooting dead one policeman and wounding another.
The family are ethnic Chechen Muslims from Russia and had been living in the United States for about a decade.
Police in Massachusetts said on Thursday the body was no longer in Worcester because ''a courageous and compassionate individual'' came forward to help get Tsarnaev properly buried.
Tamerlan's widow, Katherine Russell, declined to pick up his body from the medical examiner's office.
