Police move against Hells Angels in Germany

8:29 am on 14 October 2012

Police in Germany are mounting a major campaign against the Hells Angels.

Turf wars between biker gangs have turned increasingly violent and the BBC reports a series of raids have been held by anti-terrorist police in recent weeks at almost 100 premises. Police say weapons were seized.

The Hells Angels have been in Germany for 30 years and they say they have rights too. The BBC reports they admit that their members have criminal records, but say it's not been proven that they are a criminal organisation.

They say they are being unfairly targeted.
