The Duke of Edinburgh is out of hospital after five days there being treated for a recurrence of a bladder infection.
Prince Philip, 91, was discharged on Monday from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, after being taken ill during his annual summer break with the Queen at Balmoral.
No visits were made by the Queen or other family members after he was advised by doctors to rest, but he was in regular contact with relatives by telephone.
The Duke also spent five nights in hospital with a bladder infection after the Diamond Jubilee Pageant on the Thames River in London.
