Cubans mourning the death of a prominent dissident in a car crash say it was no accident.

Oswaldo Paya, 60, is the second key dissident to die in a year.

Close supporters say he had long feared for his life and this was the third accident he had had this year.

They say they believe his car was forced off the road near the city of Bayamo.

Mr Paya, a fervent Catholic, founded the Christian Liberation Movement, a group pressing for political change in Cuba.
