The state government in Victoria, Australia, has issued details of where it will cut more than 3500 public sector jobs.

The cuts were first flagged in December last year and confirmed in the budget in May.

The highest number of job cuts will be at the Department of Justice.

The ABC reports others will go at VicRoads and Victoria Police, the Education Department and the Department of Sustainability and Environment.

Details were issued just before 5pm on Friday.

Premier Ted Baillieu says frontline services will not be affected.

The job cuts will be phased in over two years.
