A court in Bosnia has sentenced four former soldiers to up to 43 years in prison for crimes against humanity during the massacre in Srebrenica.
They were members of an elite Bosnian Serb unit, the 10th Sabotage Detachment, which took part in six hours of executions on 16 July 1995 at the Branjevo military farm, where about 800 men and boys were killed.
One of them estimated that the platoon executed about 300 people there. They were lined up and shot in the back.
Overall, 8000 Bosnian Muslims were killed at Srebrenica.
The 10th Sabotage Detachment was founded by former Bosnian Serb army chief Ratko Mladic who is currently on trial for genocide at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia in The Hague.
