A man has been charged with the killing of a woman in Waikato a week ago.

Leigh Wallace, who was 50, was shot dead at an Ōtorohanga property.
A 57-year-old man was also taken to Waikato Hospital in a serious condition.
Police weren't looking for anyone else involved in the shooting at the time.
Today, police charged a 57-year-old man with murder in the Hamilton District Court, but he did not appear.
Police wouldn't say if it was the same man who had been taken to Waikato Hospital.
