The Maori Women's Welfare League says it's not disappointed the High Court has ruled Destiny Church co-founder Hannah Tamaki can run for president.
Mrs Tamaki was nominated for the position but the league dropped her name from voting ballot papers, prompting her to take a legal challenge to the High Court.
Justice Kos ruled that new ballot papers, which include Mrs Tamaki's name, must be sent to legitimate members by next Tuesday for the election.
However, he's also ruled that 10 new Destiny-linked League branches won't be be able to vote.
Questions were raised in the court on Wednesday about how they had been set up.
That's been welcomed by league general manager Jacqui Te Kani, who says it's pleased the judge found the way they had been set up was completely contrary to the practices and tikanga of the league.
