Te Hou Farms Partnership Ltd was formed by Ngati Apa Developments Ltd, Waitatapia Station Ltd and Atihau Whanganui Incorporation following the recent purchase of Flock House farm, which AgResearch sold to them.

Chairperson of the Atihau Whanganui Incorporation, Mavis Mullins, said the collaboration is about generating employment for the iwi's future farmers.

Ms Mullins said she is happy that the Rangitkei tribe has been able to recover some of their whenua and use the land for the betterment of not only the local iwi, but the whole community.

Te Hou Farms will be launched on Saturday.
