A professional misconduct charge against the Treaty solicitor, Donna Hall, has been thrown out.
She had been accused of representing more than one party in the sale of a block of whenua.
The claims were made by the Law Society's Standards Committee. It said Donna Hall represented more than one party in the sale of land near Taupo several years ago.
The accusation centred on failing to inform the seller and purchaser of potential conflicts of interest, or to tell them they should take independent legal advice.
Donna Hall was also accused of bringing the law profession into disrepute.
The case went before the body that keeps lawyers in line - the Lawyers and Conveyancers Disciplinary Tribunal.
It dismissed the charge, saying Donna Hall was not in breach of the rules governing her profession.
The Tribunal says she was not negligent or incompetent. The charge has been thrown out.
