Auckland University is offering Far North residents a scholarship to help them study towards an undergraduate degree.
The university is seeking applications from people who have strong multi-generational whakapapa in the Far North and live in the rohe.
It says the $20,000 Nuns and Rogan Scholarship can be split between two or three applicants, giving each up to $10,000 each a year.
The scholarships are based on academic merit, motivation to succeed, financial hardship and study which will contribute to an understanding or the development of natural, social, technological or scientific resources of the Far North.
The criteria includes that the applicant must be the first member of their whanau to study at a university.
