Nearly 500 mourners have paid their respects to a respected Maori horse-trainer Eric Ropiha.
Mr Ropiha, who trained 535 winning horses, was buried today. He died on Friday, aged 88.
Horse-racing commentator Des Coppins says Mr Ropiha was a generous man who has left a legacy.
Many people involved in racing will have fond memories of him, Mr Coppins says.
