The Maori album of the year was announced at Thursday night's New Zealand Music Awards in Auckland with Ria Hall taking the top honour with her self titled album.
Other finalists were Upper Hutt Posse with their album, Declaration of Resistance, and Whirimako Black and Richard Nunns with Te More.
The awards ceremony is being held at Vector Arena.
