Fiery finish to heavily delayed Daytona 500

NASCAR's season opening race, the Daytona 500 race was won last evening by Matt Kenseth, who held off Dale Earnhardt Jr on the final lap of a heavily delayed and incident-packed race.

It was Kenseth's second win in the race which had been washed out on Monday, and delayed by a further seven hours yesterday.

And there was a spectacular fire when the Colombian Juan Pablo Montoya hit a track maintenance truck causing a large explosion which resulted in a two-hour delay while the course was cleared for the final 40 laps.
