The Townsville Crocs have dominated a fiery reptile rumble to record a comprehensive 75-43 home win over the Cairns Taipans in their Australian National Basketball League clash.
The Taipans shot out to an early lead in the first quarter but when the Crocs found their feet, they ran away with the emphatic victory.
The home side streaked ahead in the second period as sharp-shooter Michael Cedar stamped his mark on the game, scoring 10 points in short succession including two long bombs from beyond the arc.
The Crocs shooting guard Peter Crawford then found his range in the final quarter to finish with 14 points and the 32-point rout was complete.
The win lifts Townsville to fourth, just ahead of the fifth-placed Taipans.
