Herbert delighted to continue run as All Whites coach

The New Zealand football coach Ricki Herbert says he's honoured and privileged to have been given a contract extension which will keep him in charge of the All Whites until the end of their 2014 world cup campaign.

The former player is now set to become the All Whites longest serving coach after taking the reigns of the national team in 2005.

Herbert says he's delighted to continue developing the squad he led to New Zealand's second ever world cup appearance in 2010.

If New Zealand prevail through two stages of Oceania qualifiers, their path to the 2014 World Cup will culminate in a home and away playoff against a CONCACAF nation in November 2013.
