Williamson gets Black Caps home

Kane Williamson hit 20 runs off five balls to secure the New Zealand cricketers a five-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the second and final Twenty20 international in Hamilton.

Facing their biggest test of the series, the Black Caps paced their run chase for 201, but needed some brilliant placement under pressure from Williamson to get home with 2 balls to spare.

Zimbabwe produced an impressive batting effort scoring 200 for two, with captain Brendan Taylor making an unbeaten 75 and Hamilton Masakadza 62.

Without Martin Guptil, the homeside started their run chase well with Rob Nicol scoring 56 and James Franklin 60, however they were under pressure when Williamson came to the wicket in the penultimate over needing 21 to win.

He hit three fours and a six to claim the win.

New Zealand now turn their attention to South Africa with the first Twenty20 match in Wellington on Friday night.
