Bell dropped for one dayers against Pakistan

6:31 am on 8 February 2012

The England batsman Ian Bell is the most notable casualty of his team's test series whitewash by Pakistan.

Bell's best effort in six test innings against Pakistan was 29 so he's been left out of the squad for the limited overs series, while the 20 year old left arm spinner Danny Briggs and 21 year old batsman Jos Butler have been drafted in for the one dayers and Twenty20 series.

Kevin Pietersen will open the batting in the 50 overs games despite failing to make an impact in the test series.

The first of four one day internationals will be played on the 13th of this month.
