A leading Indian oncologist says Yuvraj Singh's cancer is curable and the star all-rounder likely to be back early in May.

The 30 year old hero of India's World Cup-winning team was told last October that he had a golf ball-sized non-malignant tumour in his lung, but that diagnosis was changed at the weekend to a seminoma.

Dr Nitesh Rohatgi says seminomas are mostly curable with chemotherapy, treatment Yuvraj is already undergoing in New York.
