The new head of New Zealand Cricket, David White, says resolving the future of Black Caps coach John Wright is high on his agenda and hinted Wright will stay on when his current contract expires in August.
Wright indicated in a newspaper article last month that he was undecided about whether or not he would seek re-appointment when his contract expires after the West Indies tour later this year.
Wright took on the role in December 2010 when New Zealand was reeling from a four nil one day series loss to Bangladesh and a five nil whitewash by India.
Under Wright the Black Caps reached the semi finals of the one day world cup last year, beat Zimbabwe in Zimbabwe and drawn a test series with Australia.
White, who's officially only be in the chief executive's role two days, says he met with Wright in Napier last week to discuss matters.
