Big innings boost for rest of season

The Central Stags opener Jamie How says the reward of his record-setting achievement is gaining confidence for the next stage of the domestic cricket season.

The Stags completed their muted Twenty20 season with a 53-run win against Wellington on Wednesday evening in New Plymouth.

The victory was built on the back of How's and fellow opener Peter Ingram's world record Twenty20 opening partnership of 201 runs.

How is just pleased he's shown form ahead of the resumption of the one day programme next week as Twenty20 can be cruel.
