Brockie on the outer at Jets

All Whites midfielder Jeremy Brockie looks to be on the way out of his A-League football club Newcastle, following some damning criticism from his coach after Friday night's 5-2 humbling by the Wellington Phoenix.

Jets coach Gary van Egmond's firmly pointed the finger at Brockie, whose contract runs out at the end of the season and only came on as a substitute after half-time in the capital.

Despite some wonder goals, van Egmond says Brockie's only firing for 10 minutes a game.

He says Brockie didn't change the game when he came on and though he's scoring some goals, which is good, a 10-minute window in a 90-minute game is not good enough.

Damningly, in the same outburst van Egmond pointed out that football's a team game, not about individuals.

Brockie could provide an attacking threat from midfield for the Phoenix if he was looking for a move next season - Wellington and New Zealand coach Ricki Herbert says he hasn't considered his international player as yet.
