The Tauranga racing driver, Richie Stanaway, has wrapped up a successful year in Europe by dominating the world's top Formula Three and Formula Renault drivers at an invitation-only three-day test session in Spain.
The 20-year-old Stanaway topped the time sheets during the first two and a half days but a mechanical failure meant he could not maintain his 100 percent record in the final afternoon of testing the Renault World Series 3 point 5 litre cars.
Stanaway won 13 races from 18 starts to win this year's German Formula Three championship and also won a GP3 race at the Belgian Grand Prix meeting.
He returns home next week for a Christmas break and expects to race in the Renault World Series next year.
