The Warriors playmaker James Maloney has signed a three-year deal with National Rugby League rivals the Sydney Roosters starting in 2013.
A standout performer in helping the Warrirors reach this year's grand final the 25-year-old five eighth is viewed by the Roosters as an ideal halves partner for New South Wales Origin halfback Mitchell Pearce.
His arrival could cloud the role of captain Braith Anasta, who took over at five eighth when Todd Carney was stood down and could return to the forward pack.
