The former Pakistan cricket captain Salman Butt has filed an appeal against his 30-month jail sentence for his part in a test-match spot-fixing conspiracy last year in England.
Butt and two of his teammates Mohammad Asif and Mohammad Amir, who received lesser jail terms, are all appealing against their suspensions.
The three players were told by the sentencing judge they would be released on licence half way through their terms for good behaviour.
