The Springbok coach Peter de ViIliers says his career is over now that his side is out of the World Cup.
The defending champions were beaten 11-9 by Australia in their quarter-final in Wellington.
De Villiers, who has been in charge since the 2007 World Cup and has often been forced to defend his comments and actions, says he's been honoured to be involved with the side.
The Boks will also lose a number of senior players with the likes of captain John Smit and lock Victor Matfield also standing down.
