The Wellington Phoenix has suffered a double injury blow just over a week out from their opening game of the A- League football season.
Striker Mirjan Pavlovic broke his arm in the final few minutes of training today and coach Ricki Herbert expects him to be out for up to eight weeks.
He joins midfielder Lucas Pantelis on the casualty list.
Pantelis is on crutches after suffering a knee injury Sunday's pre-season loss to Central Coast Mariners in Tauranga and is likely to be out for up to six weeks.
The side's opening match is away to Gold Coast on Sunday week.
