Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel is just one point away from his second world title after holding out a charging Jenson Button to win the Singapore Grand Prix.
The 24-year-old German led throughout from pole position despite a spirited challenge over the final five laps from Button, and the title is set to be decided in Japan on the 9th of October unless Vettel fails to score a point at Suzuka.
Vettel had led in Singapore by 23 seconds before a safety car period halfway through the race, but his winning margin was just 1.7 seconds. Mark Webber was third ahead of Fernando Alonso.
Lewis Hamilton was involved in yet another collision - with Felipe Massa - collecting a drive through penalty before fighting back to fifth place.
