NZ rugby league as good as Australia says Endacott

The former Kiwis and Warriors coach, Frank Endacott, says the quality of New Zealand rugby league has caught up to Australia.

Both the Warriors senior and junior sides will feature in next Sunday's pinnacle day of the NRL with both playing in grand finals.

The senior Warriors upset minor premiers Melbourne to book a date with Manly while the Junior Warriors will defend the Toyota Cup against the Cowboys.

Endacott says the success will further promote the game in New Zealand.

And there will be a third Auckland team in a grand final next weekend after the Auckland Vulcans secured their place in the New South Wales Cup decider.
