Star Wallabies wing Digby Ioane Rugby World Cup campaign may be over after he fractured his thumb in the win over Italy.
A scan has revealed the break in Ioane's thumb, sustained after the Wellington-born flier scored one of Australia's four tries in Sunday's 32-6 victory at North Harbour Stadium, and the 26-year-old will undergo surgery in a bid to be fit for the quarter-finals.
