The Romania rugby team flew into Christchurch yesterday a player short for the World Cup.
Winger Catalin Fercu was a late withdrawal from the team because he wasn't prepared to fly all the way to New Zealand.
The head of the Romanian Rugby Federation said he'd been talking to the player for days before the team left, but he couldn't bring himself to fly long distance.
