Evan Gray dropped from elite umpiring panel

The former international player Evan Gray has been dropped from New Zealand's Cricket's elite umpiring panel.

Gray played ten tests for the Black Caps between 1983 and 1988 and drops to the second tier A panel.

He's been replaced by Wayne Knights on the elite panel.

The elite panel officiates at Plunket Shield games, men's one-dayers and Twenty20 competitions.

Umpires from the A Panel and Emerging Panel cover all other national competitions including women's domestic cricket, domestic tournaments, development tournaments and Hawke Cup.
