Turkey has beaten the New Zealand men's basketball team 70-64 at the Istanbul Cup tournament.
The tournament is part of the side's buildup to next month's Olympic qualifying series against Australia.
Tall Black Tom Abercrombie says they're bitterly disappointed with the result as they had the chance to beat the side which finished runners-up at the world champs last year but they simply failed to control possession.
After winning the Stankovic Cup recently in China, the Tall Blacks have failed to win their three matches in Europe, with the latest result coming on the back of losses to Montenegro and Macedonia.
The Tall Blacks' final match in Europe is against the Ukraine before next month's three-Test series against Australia.
