The Wests Tigers say their National Rugby League winning streak won't be derailed by star playmaker and Kiwis captain Benji Marshall's court appearance on Tuesday.

Marshall, who on Sunday set a new record as the club's leading pointscorer, is due to appear in a Sydney court for a three day hearing over a charge of assaulting a man in Sydney in March.

He has pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The Tigers won their sixth consecutive match on Sunday are in sixth place on the NRL ladder.

Veteran prop Todd Payten said Marshall's off-field dramas won't be a hiccup for the side as the matter has hung over the side for some time.

Wests Tigers play strugglers Gold Coast and Cronulla in the final two weeks of the regular season.
