Carney in trouble again

The Sydney Roosters player Todd Carney is again fighting to save his National Rugby League career, having to appear before a club disciplinary hearing into allegations of yet another alcohol-related indiscretion.

Carney along with teamates Nate Myles and Kiwis forward Frank-Paul Nuuausala will be asked to explain their actions after it was confirmed the trio had broken a team alcohol ban on Monday night.

The club was reportedly notified by a taxi driver, who claims he drove the players from one hotel to another in the early hours of yesterday morning.

All three were named in the side to play St George Illawarra on Sunday, but it's likely they will be stood down for the match as punishment.

That might not be the end of the matter for Carney, however, with the former Kangaroos player believed to be on his last chance with the club after previous misdemeanours.
