NZ caddie says he won't talk publicly about Tiger again

The New Zealand caddie Steve Williams has promised to stop making public comments about his former employer and former world golf number one Tiger Woods.

Williams admits he was out of line with comments seemingly designed to embarrass Woods after his new Australian employer Adam Scott won the World Golf Championships event in Ohio.

Williams says his comments where he said Scott's win was the best he's been involved in despite winning 13 major titles with Woods were over the top.

He says he was angry at being sacked by Woods and it all came out.

Several leading golfers say Williams broke the unwritten rules of caddying, by talking to the media about professional golfers.
