The Australian footballer Brett Holman has pulled out of the Socceroos' friendly against Wales in Cardiff on Thursday because of a groin strain.
The AZ Alkmaar player suffered the complaint in his Dutch club's 3-1 win over PSV Eindhoven yesterday.
Adam Sarota, who is based in the Netherlands at Utrecht, has been called into the squad for the clash at Cardiff City Stadium.
The mid-week match is the final outing for the Socceroos before they open their World Cup qualifying campaign against Thailand in Brisbane on September the 2nd.
