Dixon suffers more bad luck in Edmonton

Scott Dixon's run of bad luck continued in the latest round of the Indy Car series with the New Zealand driver hit from behind while running in second damaging his car and forcing the former champion into the pits effectively ending his challenge for victory.

Dixon eventually finished 23rd with title rival Will Power claiming the win ahead of Helio Castroneves and Dixon's team-mate Dario Franchitti.

Power's win cuts the margin between him and championship leader Franchitti, to 38 after he came into the weekend trailing by 55 points.

Dixon is now more than 100 points back in the championship in thir but the Chip-Ganassi driver was philosophical after the race.

The next race is another road course event, the Indy200 in Ohio on August 7.
