The Argentinian football club River Plate have been relegated to the second division of the country's football competition for the first time.
River Plate, who have won the Argentinian league champion a record 33 times, drew 1-all with Belgrano of the Nacional B division in the second leg of a relegation-promotion playoff at the Monumental after a 2-nil defeat in the first leg in Cordoba last week.
