The former France first five Frederic Michalak has rejoined South African Super rugby team the Sharks from his hometown club Toulouse and will be available for this weekend's game against the Cheetahs.
The Sharks have a number of injury concerns.
28-year-old Michalak, who played for the Sharks during the 2008 season, won the last of his 58 caps against Wales in February last year.
