Plummer concerned about skill factor in netball championship

The Australian netball coach Norma Plummer hasn't been that impressed with the standard of the game in this year's trans-Tasman championship.

The unbeaten Queensland Firebirds play the Northern Mystics in Sunday's grand final and Plummer believes the Firebird's Jamaican shooter Romelda Aitken will be the difference between the two teams, saying no side from New Zealand or Australia has been able to combat her.

Overall though Plummer believes the skill standard in the competition has dropped this year and she and Ruth Aitken have a bit of work to do before July's World Championship.

She says there have been far too many turnovers that need to be addresed.
