An airline has lost the prized unique gun of Australia's Olympic shooting champion Russell Mark.
In a significant blow to his London Olympic ambitions, Qantas lost Mark's one-of-a-kind gun between Melbourne and Serbia.
Mark checked his customised $15,000 rifle and ammunition on to his Qantas flight at Melbourne on Monday, but on arrival in the Serbian capital Belgrade for a pre-Olympics shoot, the gun was missing.
A replacement gun could take six months to be made.
