Tiger Woods is back on the prowl. The four-time Masters winner has roared back into contention at Augusta National with a seven under par 66 second round, sparked by nine birdies, including seven from the eighth hole.
The former world number one's private life and golf game may have been torn to shreds in the past year but his 66 was just one shot off his lowest ever round at Augusta and he's three strokes behind the leader, Northern Ireland's Rory McIlroy and one behind Australia's Jason Day, in a two-way tie for third with Korea's KJ Choi.
McIlroy fired a three-under par 69 to seize command of the 75th Masters alongside playing partner and fellow young star Day.
The 21-year-old McIlroy stands on 10 under while 23-year-old Day, playing in his first Masters, shot a stunning eight-under 64 to be 8 under par.
