The Warriors have posted their second win in the NRL rugby league competition, defeating the Sydney Roosters 24-12 at Mt Smart Stadium.
The Roosters were heavily favoured but the Warriors scored four tries to two to ensure the 2010 NRL grand finalists' scratchy start to the year continues.
The Warriors looked every bit the side that broke their three-loss 2011 campaign against Cronulla last week, and they displayed intent and guts to battle on with a three-man bench after losing up-and-coming fullback Glen Fisiiahi in the 34th minute.
The Roosters, who slumped to their fifth consecutive defeat to the Warriors, made 18 costly errors, fell off 26 tackles and completed less than 60 per cent of their sets.
