India's departing cricket coach Gary Kirsten has hailed his World Cup winning-captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the best leader in contemporary cricket, and he has a lot more to offer.

Kirsten, a former South African opening batsman, says Dhoni expects his troops to be ready for battle, he's never seen him lose his temper, and if things don't go well he takes the responsibility.

Kirsten made an emotional farewell speech after turning down repeated requests to extend his contract which ended at the completion of the World Cup.
